World Earth Day’s History

Held annually to show support for climate-protective causes and celebrate the awe-inspiring natural complexities of the world, Earth Day was first held in April 1970. It is recognised and celebrated in one form or another by over 190 countries, and in 2020 over 100 million people joined in for the 50th Earth Day celebration.

Artwork Selection

This collection brings together abstract terrains with illustrative blue skies, minimalist mountain peaks with atmospheric seascapes, all to celebrate the wondrousness of planet Earth.
