Isabelle Joubert

Isabelle Joubert, a visual artist based in the French Alps, draws her inspiration from the deep interconnectedness between nature and her place as a woman in this world. Through a work that combines paintings, embroidery, drawings, and collages, she sensitively explores the elements of the natural world, exalting their beauty while highlighting the importance of a life in harmony with it. Her works, delicate and imbued with poetry, are part of an eco-responsible approach, valuing materials recovered with the aim of "zero waste." Isabelle particularly loves watercolor for its fluidity, as well as cotton thread and linen, which she uses in her embroidery to infuse a tactile dimension into her creations. She also reuses small scraps of paper, transformed into poetic shapes, carrying a second life. Attentive to the purity of colors, Isabelle studies her palettes based on the natural colors observed in nature, in her garden, or even in her kitchen.
