Wilfrid Moizan

Born in 1969 in Brittany, Wilfrid Moizan is an experienced painter inspired by the intertwining of bodies (human figures and objects) and spaces. He draws from a broader inquiry into memory, lost time, and the fragility of existence, themes that he intelligently weaves into his portrait and landscape paintings.

Early career and artistic practice of Wilfred Moizan

Driven by the interaction between people and things and the space they inhabit, Wilfred creates intriguing pictorial narratives of absence, disappearance, and discovery. His figurative works demonstrate a mature artistic sensitivity, developed during his time studying fine arts and art history in Rennes and as an art teacher in Normandy, Guadeloupe, and Saint-Martin, in the French Caribbean.
