Threads of the Land

1 October 2026 – December 2026

In collaboration with Montcalm Collection, Rise Art presents Threads of the Land, an exhibition of prints by Emma Lawrenson.

In Threads of the Land, Emma Lawrenson demonstrates an attentiveness to the slow life of materials and to the enduring, almost bodily pull of the West Yorkshire wilderness.

In an accumulation of surfaces marked by time and touch, Lawrenson layers seasonal hues, hand-drawn stencils, frayed edges, salvaged book covers and organic Nepalese papers. Varying in scale, texture and composition, the works appear almost embroidered in their intricate detail, inviting curiosity and foregrounding process and the stories materials can hold.

Online exhibition with select works on show at Montcalm Royal London House, London. Until December 2026.

Rise Art shines a light on today's most dynamic and culturally significant artists, collaborating directly with a curated roster of emerging, mid-career, and established creatives worldwide.
