The relationship with nature is at the heart of Sébastien Grenier's artistic work and is also part of a personal initiatory journey. Using painting, drawing, photography, and digital experiments, his work unfolds in thematic series.
His recent works also raise the question of our relationship with the environment while referencing ancient or contemporary mythologies in the era of the Anthropocene.
Sébastien Grenier's journey:
After studying applied arts at ENSAAMA Olivier de Serres and then at the National School of Applied Arts in Paris, he dedicated himself to painting and photography.
Since then, his work has been presented several times in galleries and art centers in France and is also included in several public collections.
After spending more than forty years in major cities like Paris, Nantes, and Bordeaux, he decided in 2013 to set up his studio away from it all, in the countryside of southwestern France, where he regularly showcases his work.
