I am a multidisciplinary artist of Polish origin, living in Paris.
My works arise from the relationship to place, territory, and real or imaginary space. States close to melancholy, daydreaming, and strangeness translate in my works the questioning of several symbols and social codes. My paintings, engravings, photographs, and videos unfold a universe shaped by the links between intimate memories and the collective memory of childhood, by the notions of presence and absence, ghosts and apparitions. Indirectly, I draw inspiration from the Night, from its atmosphere. The suspended moment of our sleep puts us all in a certain vulnerability, the atmosphere of the room found at dusk or early morning, the influence of nature and space on our presence and state of mind. Even if the night is not always dark, as everything can turn out to be a waking dream. Indeed, in my work, I explore through different techniques the question of our traces and memories in space and time. Currently, driven by the world around me, my feelings, and my experiences, I am working on three series of paintings: Sleepy Conversations, The Sleepers, and The Memories.
In my engraving work, I draw inspiration from the places and spaces visited, the shadows and lights that create atmospheres.
