      Magdalena Morey

A truly international artist, Magdalena Morey was born and trained in Lublin, Poland, but now lives and works in Spain. Her Abstract Expressionist Art reflects these movements, exploring themes of travel and the accompanying emotions of excitement, anticipation and even loneliness. Using a variety of different media, including watercolour, gold leaf and acrylic, Magdalena creates Abstract Paintings that are wonderfully expressive and bursting with life.

With both a diploma in textiles and a Masters in painting under her belt, Magdalena is well-versed in the world of art. She graduated from the Marie Curie Sklodowska University in Lubin, Poland, where she continued to work as a professional artist for 10 years. Since then, she has worked in the UK and Switzerland, before moving to her current home in the beautiful Asturias region in northern Spain. Her work often focuses on Landscapes and nature, although she has also been known to create Figurative Art featuring human subjects.

Magdalena has featured in numerous solo shows and joint shows across the world, in cities ranging from Hong Kong to Brighton. What’s more, her Abstract Art has featured in plenty of fairs, including the Affordable Art Fair and the Edinburgh Art Fair. You’ll also find her work in several permanent collections, including galleries in Chelsea, Cambridge and the Algarve in Portugal.
