Piers Bourke is best known for his depictions of enduring British symbols, such as the Queen's stamp and phone booths.

Bourke explores ideas around the resurrection and redefinition of traditional mediums and materials.

The artist embellishes his work with lively strokes of paint, gestural marks, text, and ribbon-like shreds.

British and Irish artist, Piers Bourke, born 1978, studied at Chelsea College of Art and UWE Bristol. Previously based in Asia, Piers returned to London at the end of 2018 where he continues to work from his South West London studio. Piers’ practice combines progressive print and painting techniques with a traditional execution process, assimilating a range of skills that he has developed over the course of his career.

Alongside his successful Fan Series, Bourke is well known for his iconic depictions of quintessential British imagery, including The Queen’s postage stamp and telephone boxes.

Bourke has exhibited internationally, with previous solo shows at Loughran Gallery, Rebecca Hossack London, New York, and The Art Fellas in Singapore. Bourke is a committed philanthropist, and has raised in excess of £50,000 to date with the sale of his pieces through various charities. His works are collected by a global audience, from hotel groups to private collectors in over 25 countries.
