Kimberly Poppe
Kimberly Poppe creates art that gives people's minds the space to rest.
A long-term student of Tibetan Buddhism and a meditation teacher as well as a photographer, Kimberly's work has been greatly influenced and inspired by The Practice of Contemplative Photography by Andy Karr and Michael Wood.
Kimberly's photography takes her all over the world

Kimberly Poppe is a multidisciplinary artist based in Sitges, Barcelona, Spain. Her photographic practice is rooted in fresh, direct, present-moment perception, shaped by her two decades of Buddhist study and practice and in-depth training with the founders of the Miksang Contemplative Photography Movement.

Drawn instinctively to colour, light, and coincidence, Poppe creates highly refined compositions that reveal the joy of discovering the extraordinary in the ordinary, inviting viewers into the quiet intensity of her encounters with the world. Her influences include the luminous colour field paintings of Helen Frankenthaler and Mark Rothko, and the moment-driven photography of Henri Cartier-Bresson, Vivian Maier, and Saul Leiter.

Her work has been exhibited internationally and is held in private collections worldwide. Current and recent projects include Everyday Delight, exhibited at the Free Project Space in London and featured in The Guardian, and a large-scale multi-year commission for Brittany Ferries, as the featured artist on their five new ships — Galicia, Salamanca, Santoña, Saint-Malo, and Guillaume de Normandie — sailing between the UK, France, and Spain.
