Jade Dacay

Jade is an AAPI mixed media artist with Hawaiian roots. She uses Japanese paper and plasters to create pieces that are both intriguing and emotive yet invoke a sense of calm. The majority of her work is inspired by her time exploring the world. Much of her work features paper from a small shop in Kyoto, Japan- a place whose culture and traditon is close to her heart and inspires her deeply.

The exploration of layers and complexities that are seen in her work, mirror her life experiences, growth, and confidence as an Asian american woman.
