Peter Evans (b. 1979) is a multidisciplinary artist and songwriter from London based in Brazil. Using found materials, ephemera and inspiration from the everyday, Evans re-purposes the familiar and often overlooked aspects of life to create new abstract forms. Working in collage and painting, Evans’ accessible abstract output remains ambiguous in meaning, giving the viewer space for new interpretation and thought.
Evans graduated from the MA Fine Art course at Chelsea College of Art in 2016, where he received the Vice Chancellor's Scholarship Award. He has exhibited in shows at Saatchi and Delphian Galleries in London, Mana Contemporary in New York and En Face in Paris. A self-published book Thinking of You, Post cards:1948-2015 was included in the Tate Library & Archive collection in 2017 and in 2019 he was in residence at Palazzo Monti in Brescia, Italy.
In 2019 Evans moved to Brazil, where he lives and works from a ranch just outside of Rio de Janeiro.
