Kanny Yeung is a painter born in Hong Kong, currently living on the tropical island of Bali, Indonesia.
Her artistic approach
Engaging with the Biophilia Hypothesis, Kanny Yeung’s work involves field-based material and artistic research, biomaterial experiments, ephemeral installations of ecological sculptures, and painting. Through painting, she is diving into techniques—drip, dot, dash, and blur—to visualize behaviours of water in fluidflux. She continues to traverse the boundaries between chance and control, turbulence and harmony, the ethereal and uncanny.
Collections and exhibitions
She graduated with a BFA in Communication Design from Parsons the New School for Design, New York, USA. Her work has been exhibited in group and solo shows in Hong Kong, Australia, South Korea and the United States. She recently completed international artist residencies in Iceland (2023), UK (2024), and Mongolia (2025).
Her works are held in private collections across Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Canada, Singapore and the United States. Her skyscape paintings are in the permanent collection of the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection (Luminara, 2025). Since 2024, she has been collaborating with interior designers and art consultants on large-scale commission paintings for commercial and residential projects.
