Cristina Migliorini-Busato

Trained in painting, illustration, analog photography, and art restoration, Cristina Migliorini-Busato develops a poetic research where memory, landscape, and emotions intertwine. Her work has been presented in Italy, France, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the United States, at fairs and biennials such as Art Basel Miami, La Bellevilloise, Artistes du Monde, the Florence Biennale, and the RomART Biennale. Published in magazines like Vogue UK, her work has caught the attention of art critics Vittorio Sgarbi and Paolo Levi, who have included it in their catalogs. In 2023, she was a finalist in the Descubrimientos PHE contest of PHotoESPAÑA. At the same time, she trained in art therapy and participated in social and educational projects, including the Cajas-Maletas Emocionarios workshop aimed at migrant minors (Casa Árabe, Madrid) as well as the traveling exhibition Migracions, initiated by the City of Barcelona in response to the Syrian refugee crisis, in collaboration with the NGOs Proactiva Open Arms, Médecins Sans Frontières, and Ajuda al Refugiat. Between 2015 and 2018, she joined collectives in iconic places such as 59Rivoli in Paris, NauArt in Barcelona, and Mediodía Chica in Madrid. Today, her studio is located in Mijas (Málaga), a border territory between Europe and Africa, where the sierra opens onto the sea and dialogues with her nomadic journey, her interest in wandering, and the universal dimension of creation.
