Emerging Artist
Barbara Petit Lisy

Born in 1977 in Hauts-de-France, Barbara Petit Lisy has been exploring image and word as essential means of expression since childhood. After studying literature and publishing, she trained in painting, modeling, and drawing from live models with established masters.

A confident colorist, she develops narrative and figurative painting, favoring oil for its sensuality and depth. She paints from life or imagination, outdoors or in the studio, seeking a balance between observation, material, and inner resonance.

Her painting explores varied themes — childhood, desire, landscape, figure, living art, still life — each work invoking emotion, memory, and connection. Her practice also extends to sculpture: she creates busts from models, which she enamels herself, extending her exploration of the human figure and textures.

Recognized for her expertise in the visual arts, she produces several commissioned works dedicated to artistic practice and regularly collaborates with the magazine Pratique des Arts.

Engaged in several artistic associations, she is a member of the Fondation Taylor, a member of ArtCan (United Kingdom), of the Association of Friends of André Derain, and of the French Plein Air Painters. She has been in residency in Italy, Russia, Belarus, Spain, and Quebec, and regularly exhibits in France, Japan, China, Russia, and the United Kingdom.

She lives and works in Paris.
