More Works by Sophie Anne Wyth
Sophie Anne Wyth
As of 2026, the artist is working under her original name, Sophie Weyeneth (formerly Sophie Anne Wyth).
Sophie Weyeneth is a French and Swiss artist who studied art and fashion in Paris and lives and works in London. She became a painter through undergoing art therapy, and this initial approach brought playfulness and a sense of freedom to her practice. Weyeneth creates abstract paintings guided entirely by intuition, working without visual support and looking inward to find forms while listening to what the paint calls for. There is no predefined direction the picture should take, allowing for creativity throughout the process. Engaged with queer and feminist concerns, Wyth’s abstract language is both welcoming and intricate.
Her work explores movement, impermanence, and the ever-changing nature of life, encouraging alternative ways of seeing. Through intuition-driven abstraction, she seeks to express emotion and to create moments of connection, harmony, and beauty as acts of sensitivity and care.
Recent exhibitions include “What will not bend will break”, a group show in London Soho with the Istanbul gallery Vision Art Platform in September 2025, and “The power of colour” at the Art’Otel in London Hoxton with Artfeed in October 2024. Wyth collaborates with various art consultancies, with her artworks frequently placed in corporate and hospitality settings. Harrods commissioned and acquired three of her artworks, which were installed in 2025.
