About the artwork

In the stillness of blue, she was learning from the angels...

L'Apprentissage du Ciel is a digital print by Hugo Pondz, limited to 30 copies, in 50 x 50 cm format. The artist uses giclée printing for its color fidelity and depth, bringing to life a scene both realistic and tinged with nostalgia.

The image is based on a 3GB professional file captured with a 45MP Nikon sensor and printed on a Mimaki 250S. Each print is hand-varnished to enhance color depth. On request and at an additional cost, it can be delivered stretched or framed in a black or white satin American box frame, and shipped in a wooden crate.

This work is also available in other sizes. Browse the artist’s gallery to discover them.

Hugo Pondz

Hugo Pondz deploys a sky blue universe that awakens the viewer with great breaths of pictorial fresh air. In a perfect dichotomy between the full and the empty, he invites contemplation in an almost minimalist world where one projects oneself and breathes freely. Around the pool, in New York, on the plain of a golf course, or in the aisles of a parking lot, all of Hugo Pondz's paintings are imbued with a singular depth.
