Profils is an oil painting by Marie-Astrid Grivet.

This work was inspired by a sculpture exhibition. Through the arrangement of heads, the artist creates a sense of dialogue—or highlights absence. Relationships unfold through lines, color fields, and visual rhythms rather than through gesture. Grivet uses oil paint in various forms: thick impasto, glazes, and solid sticks. Applied with knife or brush, the material enhances the resonance between surfaces and defines subtle shifts across the composition.
