Samuel Martial
Samuel Martial is a French artist born in Metz in Lorraine. Autodidacte, he has been working since 2004 between Paris and Brussels, and has collaborated with some galleries like in Paris, Montreuil, Brussels or Luxembourg. Was works are essentially portraits or worked bodies In a way close to free figuration and crude art. The artists who inspired him are numerous, revisiting his style through Picasso, Dubuffet, Baselitz, but also Basquiat more recently, his works, meanwhile, remain very contemporary. In addition, the artist draws his inspiration from the different cultures of the world: African, Amerindian and South American, which pushes to diversify the genres of his works. Samuel Martial uses many techniques in the making of his art like spray , acrylic painting, collage, fatty pencils, screen printing, stencils ... Its versatility does not stop there, it is also found on its equally varied supports: canvases, wood, plexiglass, and other everyday objects or recovery.
