Novi Lim is an artist based in the United States, known for her ethereal, semi-abstract paintings that blend fluid movement with emotional resonance. Her works are held in private and public collections around the world.

"The hand remembers what the mind forgets." For me, abstraction is a personal visual language—each painting layered with symbols, memories, and emotional undercurrents. These elements aren’t always overt, but they are embedded in the gestures and choices I make. Every stroke, pressure, or burst of color becomes a form of expression beyond words.

My process is intuitive and sensory, shaped by instinct and rhythm more than rigid planning. I often draw inspiration from nature’s elegant forms—petals, wings, waterlines—translating them into softened curves, gradients, and layered textures.

I’m drawn to fleeting visual poetry: a bloom unfolding, a fading sunset, moonlight on water. These moments push me into a state of flow where curiosity leads.

Through dynamic mark-making and nuanced detail, I aim to distill complex inner worlds into contemplative, emotional harmonies—quiet spaces that invite reflection and connection.
