"Enzo Marra's subject matter reinvents an age old tradition of artists portraying one another. The thick impasto oil paint and tonally restricted palette reminds us of the School of London artists, such as Kossoff and Auerbach. Marra's works share the wonderful spontaneity and fluidity of this type of gestural drawing. "
