Sam Jane Hunt

Sam Jane Hunt (b.1992, UK) is a figurative painter living in Le Perche, France. She graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2013, and moved to Paris the following year.

Since 2015, she has worked consistently as a professional artist and illustrator. She has participated in group shows internationally, showing her work in Paris, London and the US, and has sold her work to collectors worldwide. She is largely self-taught, and has spent the last ten years honing her skills and learning about different materials.

Her practice has changed greatly during this time: from an early interest in portraiture, Sam developed a large body of work based on imagined mischievous and colourful characters, which culminated in solo shows in London, Paris and regional France.

As of 2025, her work focuses on the reimagining and reworking of memories through drawing, painting and printmaking.
