Richard Cook is a contemporary British painter living and working in Newlyn, Cornwall. His paintings are anchored to the natural world, their hasty, vigorous texture capturing shifting light and changing landscapes, but they have a dream-like quality evoking memories of place. Having studied at St Martin’s School of Art and the Royal College of Art, Richard has exhibited at Tate St Ives, The Royal Academy, The British Museum, Hayward Gallery, Austin/Desmond, and more. His works are held in major public and corporate collections including the Tate, Arts Council, Deutsche Bank and numerous private collections, and he has received awards from the British Council and the Arts Council.
