Jo Berry

Jo Berry is painter based in Cardiff, Wales, UK. She studied Fine Art - painting at Manchester Metropolitan University.

In 2024 she won the Irving Open in Oxford, UK and is working towards a solo show at the Irving Gallery in 2026.

She is regularly selected for Y Lle Celf, the visual arts exhibition at the National Eisteddfod for Wales, and at the 2024 Eisteddfod in Pontypridd, she won the Contemporary Arts Society for Wales purchase prize, with her painting now in their collection.

In 2025 and 2024 she was shortlisted for the Jackson’s Art Prize.

In 2018 she exhibited at the Saatchi Gallery, London as part of ‘Into a Light’ curated by Lle Gallery, Cardiff and Paper Gallery, Manchester.

She exhibited in the John Moores Painting prize in 2014, in 2022 she was longlisted for the Contemporary British Painting Prize.
