Corin Kennington

Corin Kennington is a London based artist. Having studied at LCC, University of the Arts London, Corin’s work has since been exhibited at Saatchi Gallery, Somerset House and the Whitworth Art Gallery, as well as being featured online for Creative Review, Vice, Wallpaper* and Dezeen.

With a background in sign-painting, Corin references the subject of letterforms throughout his artwork. Exploring the abstraction of typography, Corin’s paintings focus on the details, shapes and forms as opposed to the legible function of words and letters.

Corin's most recent body of work 'Verso', available with Rise Art, is a series of artworks painted in reverse onto 4mm toughened glass. Using this medium enables Corin to play with the optics of light and texture. The series was initially shown at Morgan, as part of Clerkenwell Design Week in London.
