Manon Danappe under the pseudonym Slawa, born in 1995, having lived in Lille, Bordeaux, and Biarritz, is a self-taught artist whose journey escapes traditional academic paths.
It was in Biarritz, in 2017, that this self-discipline, combined with an insatiable curiosity, allowed Slawa to shape an artistic approach that stands out for its spontaneity and authenticity.
Her work, inspired by contemporary art and abstraction, invites reflection on the place of the other in our existence, particularly on how our relationships influence our perceptions and experiences of the world. There is a desire to explore the fragility and strength of human bonds.
