Rudolf Kosow

Rudolf Kosow is a recognized German painter who has exhibited his works worldwide. He addresses three main themes: the human, the animal, and the landscape, and is particularly interested in the combination of these elements to create a unique and special atmosphere and aesthetics. Realistic figures meet in compositions in a strange and surreal manner, allowing each viewer to interpret the ambiguity of each painting. His overall aesthetic is imbued with mystery and magic.

Born in 1972 in Karaganda (Kazakhstan), Rudolf Kosow studied free painting and art education at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart from 1994 to 2001 under the guidance of Professors M. Baumgartl and P. Chevalier. He has been working as an art teacher since 2005.

"The aim of my painting is the realistic representation of things, although in a surrealist context. My intention is to represent things in a spatially realistic and homogeneous context, except that the collision of these elements in real life would be impossible or at least very unlikely. A certain irony accompanies my works, which often makes the viewer smile."
