Kate Lewis seamlessly weaves news and nature into captivating botanical collages. After earning her master's degree at the Royal College of Arts in 1999, she made a name for herself as a textile designer for luxury brands in New York and Paris. In 2018, she began breaking down newspaper articles and transforming sentences into delicate creations originally inspired by cherry blossoms. With this approach, she turned news into timeless pieces that invite the viewer to consider current events from a new perspective and to transform historical events into a floral narrative: The bees emerged from the words that sought comfort from the fear triggered by the news. Redefining storytelling by merging news and nature into works that celebrate the human experience.
