Merging the natural energies of his native Iceland through an abstract, explosive and organic expressionism, often filtered through pictorial installations, Katrin Fridriks explores interactions between man and nature as well as themes of the speed, severity and growth. Some of his most monumental interventions are similar to the & nbsp; Land Art & nbsp; and his pictorial creations often lead to the realization of "Paintings" (paint landscapes), in situ installations which exceed the limits of painting as it is traditionally designed.
