Ludovic Mercher et Nicolas Ruelle

Confirmed painters of the artistic scene, Ludovic Mercher and Nicolas Ruelle have been working in concert since 2009 in parallel with their personal work. Their canvases were few to keep an exceptional character but an artistic path ended up taking shape during this decade of collaboration. Today it leads to a singular and unique expression which is the subject of several exhibitions in gallery in Paris, Bordeaux and Strasbourg. By each taking a different path, both by technique and by expression, the two artists meet to tell a single story, dialogue so that their two universes are only one. In the infinite landscapes of Nicolas Ruelle integrate the geometric shapes of Ludovic Mercher. The latter offer a rereading of the landscape by cropping it or extending it, in its depth of field or outside the very space of the canvas. These mysterious objects will sometimes describe trajectories, an acceleration or to seek a balance. Change of point of view, open new possibilities of exploration, give other directions and offer new lines of reading, these are the challenges of these 4 hands creations. The goal is to create a unique experience where the striking effect of the landscape is visited. The universe represented by these common works seeks to push the limits of the imagination.
