Pascal Milcendeau

Born in Vendée, France, in 1962, Pascal Milcendeau is a self-taught artist and a member of the Taylor Foundation, an association dedicated to the defence and support of artists since 1844.

With his distinctive style, marked by voluptuous forms, sinuous lines, and vibrant colours, his paintings reflect worlds of beautiful architecture and joyful ways of life. Yet, despite this palpable joie de vivre, he does not hesitate to critique the standardisation of our society through his work.

A passionate traveller, Milcendeau draws inspiration from Moroccan souks, Brazilian street scenes, Senegalese fish markets, and the colourful shores of Zanzibar. His spontaneous photographs, often captured from a café terrace, are later reworked in the solitude of his Vendée studio, surrounded by maritime pines. Each canvas becomes an inner journey, a dialogue between curiosity and reflection, deeply rooted in the cultural contrasts of the world.
