Jérôme Pergolesi

Born in Franche-Comté in 1973, Jérôme Pergolesi lives and works in Strasbourg. A professional artist, he collaborates with several galleries in France and regularly exhibits in art fairs. His work is also part of numerous collections internationally.

The forest has long been the playground of Jérôme Pergolesi and remains the source of a language where the vegetal becomes a bridge between the visible and the invisible. From his own photographs, which he assembles and then transforms with ink and embossing, he explores how memories shift, overlap, alter, and are reborn in another form. The landscape becomes the medium of a memory in motion, where the real mingles with the imaginary. The works of Jérôme Pergolesi take the form of visual poems that invite a slow reading, allowing each person the freedom to recognize their own reminiscences.
