Emilia Chubb is a painter who captures the world as it goes by on canvas. Nosing around in cafes and markets for inspiration, Emilia grasps the spirit of a place using bold, vibrant colours. Her London cityscapes are delightfully nostalgic and full of character.

Emilia Chubb’s Early Career and Training

Emilia graduated in 2020 from the Courtauld Institute of Art, where she studied History of Art, BA (Hons). She also studied Fine Art at UAL, Chelsea College of Art, and has a Foundation Diploma in Fashion and Textiles from UCA. Combined, Emilia has attained an arsenal of techniques, mediums, and inspiration. Fascinated by places and people, Emilia encapsulates the beauty of time, location, and memory on an aesthetic and emotional level. She produces paintings that move with the rhythm and rush of the city. Drawing inspiration from urban landscapes and the stories embedded within them, Chubb's artworks pulsate with the rhythm of city life, inviting viewers to explore the depths of human connection and the essence of place.

Selected group exhibitions include the Royal Society of British Artists Annual Exhibition at Mall Galleries 2025, Punchbowl Gallery, Surrey Contemporary Art Fair, Sandown Racecourse, Esher, Surrey, UK, 2021 and 2022, and Threshold Annual Summer Exhibition, D Contemporary, Mayfair, London, 2021.

More recently, exhibitions include London Calling with The Brunswick Art Gallery, London, 2023; Surrey Artist Open Studios, 2023; Fresh Art Fair, Cheltenham Racecourse, 2023; The Other Art Fair, at the Truman Brewery, London, 2023; Windsor Contemporary Art Fair, Windsor, 2022; Edinburgh Art Fair, O2 Academy, 2022; Manchester Art Fair, 2022; Exhibiting with Punchbowl Gallery. Emilia was also long-listed as a Non-Member for the Society of Women Artists 161st Open Exhibition, 2022.
