Emilia Chubb is a painter who captures the world as it goes by on canvas. Nosing around in cafes and markets for inspiration, Emilia grasps the spirit of a place using bold, vibrant colours. Her London cityscapes are delightfully nostalgic and full of character.
Emilia graduated in 2020 from the Courtauld Institute of Art, where she studied History of Art, BA (Hons). She also studied Fine Art at UAL, Chelsea College of Art, and has a Foundation Diploma in Fashion and Textiles from UCA. Combined, Emilia has attained an arsenal of techniques, mediums, and inspiration. Fascinated by places and people, Emilia encapsulates the beauty of time, location, and memory on an aesthetic and emotional level. Drawing from the many stories she hears from viewers who have a connection to her chosen spots, Emilia produces paintings that move with the rhythm and rush of the city.
