Rhian Harris-Mussi (b.1997) is an artist based in London. Rhian’s work investigates how aerial perspectives shape our perception of landscape and how aerial mapping technologies such as satellites and drones have shifted our perspective from grounded to aerial; within to without; spatial to flat; experiential to observed. She incorporates marquetry techniques, drawing and assemblage into a wider sculptural practice to examine scale, flatness, remoteness and abstraction. Through these processes her work shifts the pictorial plane away from a knowable landscape towards a vague terrain that re-frames our relationship to the land.
Rhian completed her BFA at the Ruskin School of Art, Oxford (2019). Selected shows include: Drawings!, LALAIL Gallery, London (2026); The World Shakes Out Her Sheets, SET91, London (2026); On The Calculation of Volume, Gerald Moore Gallery, London (2025); Common Ground, The Wilson Museum, Cheltenham (2025); Sense of Earth, Barbare Studio, Türkiye (2024); At Last It Came Into Focus, Warbling, London (2024); New Perspectives, Izena Studios/The Conran Shop, London (2024); Beating the Bounds, Inspection Pit, Petersfield (2023); Flights, SVA, Stroud (2023); Pathways on Paper, South Parade, London (2022); A Fabricator’s Tale, Guest Projects, London (2021).
