Lyubov Franko
Lyubov Franko is a Ukrainian textile and visual artist, born in Ivano-Frankivsk, lives and works in Khmelnytskyi.
Her artistic practice is primarily focused on silk, ink, watercolor, and mixed media, exploring the relationship between
material, light, texture, and emotional perception through abstract compositions and layered surfaces. Silk occupies a
central role in her work, serving as a medium through which she investigates transparency, fragility, and transformation.
Delicate golden elements frequently appear in her artworks as symbols of memory, energy, and the transformative
power of art.
Lyubov Franko graduated from the Kosiv Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts of Lviv National Academy of Arts,
earning a Bachelor’s degree in 2005 and a Master’s degree in 2007.
Her works have been exhibited in Ukraine and Poland, including the III All-Ukrainian Triennale of Artistic Textile and the
“Amazonia” exhibition in Warsaw.
In addition to her textile practice, she also worked in the field of book illustration and collaborated with renowned
Ukrainian children’s author Sashko Dermansky, creating illustrations for children’s books.
