Ulrika Segerberg
Ulrika Segerberg (*1976 in Eskilstuna, Sweden) is a Swedish artist. She studied fine arts at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam and the School of Visual Arts, New York. Since 2001, she has lived and worked in Berlin. Her practice spans painting, sculpture, drawing, performance and music.

Segerberg's pictorial worlds oscillate between figuration and abstraction, combining large formats with a richness of detail. Her works and texts are often based on existing stories and images from myths, folk tales, and popular culture. In her installations, she brings together a range of materials and media, including painting, ceramic objects, textile works, ceramics, and text.

Her works and performances have been presented at venues including Västerås Konstmuseum (Västerås, SE), Deutscher Künstlerbund e.V. (Berlin), Städtische Galerie Nordhorn (Nordhorn), Dorich House Museum (London), LENTOS Kunstmuseum (Linz, AT), WUK, Galerie 3 (Vienna), and Galleri Thomassen (Gothenburg, SE). Segerberg also develops artworks for public spaces and makes music in the duos matka and M.O.G. (The Mothers of God). Her work is held in collections such as the Swedish Arts Council and Malmö Konstmuseum.
