More Works by Poppy Faun
Poppy Faun
Poppy Faun is a self-taught British multi-disciplinary artist based in Brighton, UK. Her work moves between painting, collage, photography and mixed media, rooted in a long-standing interest in freedom, introspection, and emotional presence. Drawing from personal experience and a belief in life beyond the mundane, her practice explores moments of freedom, desire, and becoming.

Her visual language is shaped by a fascination with the human face, light, movement, memory, and sensuality. Colour and motion play a central role, acting as emotional signals rather than descriptions.

Faun’s earlier work reinterpreted mid-century imagery and 20th-century iconography through a contemporary lens, informed by her background in collage and image sourcing. These foundations continue to influence her practice, but in recent years her work has shifted toward a more intuitive and painterly approach.

Over the past year, she has entered a new chapter working predominantly with oil paint — embracing movement, restraint, and depth. This transition marks her most personal fine art work to date, allowing each piece to unfold slowly and instinctively, guided by emotion rather than concept.

Her work has been featured in British Vogue and realised through collaborations with Playboy, Missoma, Campari, and fashion designer Yuul Yui. She has exhibited internationally for over a decade, with works held in private collections worldwide.
