More Works by Svenja Landsiedel
Svenja Landsiedel
Born in 1999 in Kösching, Svenja Landsiedel is an emerging artist specializing in monotype printmaking on cotton fabric. Currently completing a Diploma program in Fine Arts at the University of Fine Arts Dresden under Professor Christian Macketanz, Svenja Landsiedel previously studied Experimental Design at the University of Applied Science and Art Hannover and was awarded an Erasmus Scholarship to Gray’s School of Art in Aberdeen, Scotland.

In 2025, Svenja Landsiedel will be an Artist in Residence at the Atelier Foundation for Art and Nature. Their recent exhibitions include group shows at the Royal Scottish Academy (RSA) in Edinburgh, Galerie Ines Schulz in Dresden, and Palais des Nations in Geneva, as well as a solo exhibition “Feels like floating” in Dresden.

Svenja Landsiedel’s work is defined by the unpredictability of monotype printmaking, embracing the element of chance between concept and execution. The process involves drawing in reverse on fabric without immediate visual feedback, fostering spontaneity and immediacy. Thematically, her practice explores femininity, womanhood, the cycles of life, energy, rhythm, and the interconnection between nature, humans, and emotions. Through her work, Svenja Landsiedel aims to evoke emotions and encourage viewers to reflect on their own experiences.
