Sylvie Julkowski-Egard

Sylvie Julkowski-Egard creates art by drawing inspiration from her immediate environment, including the architecture of Paris, still lifes, and her daughter, who is her main model. Her work explores themes like rupture, rivalry, and infidelity, often incorporating symbols for deeper meaning. She has a particular interest in the industrial world, using portraiture to depict objects that reflect the passage of time, such as transport vehicles affected by rust and decay.

Her still lifes and genre scenes highlight the poetic nature of everyday life, revealing its humble truths. Urban landscapes also inspire her, contributing to the rich tapestry of her artistic universe.
