Atina Rabou

With the paintings of Atina Rabou, we enter the realm of the unconscious.

The non-representational, mostly large-format compositions are characterized by the speed and rhythm of their painting process, which reveals an expressive and dynamic visual language. Her work relies on the techniques of Tachisme and lyrical abstraction. The surface becomes her space for action, where brush strokes, lines, and color spots unite or break apart, creating fields of energy.

Atina's works show a delicate balance between fluid and concentrated elements, creating an open structure that invites the viewer to engage with and interpret the creative process. Often, the energy centers in her compositions are held in a fascinating emptiness, giving her paintings a unique sense of depth and contemplation.

Her art is not a mere representation but a transformation - an evolving process in which the invisible becomes visible and draws the viewer into the narrative.

Atina works from her studio in Cologne, Germany.
