For me, abstraction is a gateway to a deeply personal visual language. Each work holds hidden symbols, memories, and meanings—echoes of innocence, heritage, nostalgia, nature, beauty, and even darkness. These elements are embedded in my gestures and choices, not always overt but always present.
Every mark—stroke, pressure, burst of color—is a coded expression. Through paint, brush, or unconventional tools, I translate emotion into form, distilling complex inner worlds into simplified, visual harmonies.
My creative focus lies in capturing the spirit of both my internal landscape and the natural world. Guided by instinct, I work with fluid curves, softened edges, and sweeping gestures. Nature often inspires me—especially aquatic, avian, and botanical forms, which recur in my visual vocabulary.
I was raised in a crowded city in Java, with little access to nature. Still, I longed for the outdoors and found fulfillment in North Carolina, where the expansive natural beauty continues to nourish my creativity.
My process begins with intuitive movement, evolving through layers of texture and detail. Fleeting moments—an unfolding bloom, shifting sunset hues, or moonlight on water—ignite my imagination and draw me into a flow state.
Art, for me, is an exploratory practice—where curiosity, uncertainty, and transformation meet. I aim to create a quiet, contemplative intensity through dynamic line work, gradients, and the interplay of light and shadow.
