Gum
Born in 1976, GUM is an artist rising from the Street & Nbsp; French. Heir to the street, he evolves in this world with his only weapon: the bomb. Active, "bubble" and fun, plastic is the central point of its artistic approach and the common thread of these favorite themes: ad, consumption and overconsumption and sex. And as our land is overwhelmed with plastic and waste, its works too. Plastic melts there because of global warming, while the world looks elsewhere. Always with the help of his stencils, he gives life to these plastic characters, all in curves and in the papa beard he calls hello clit, Mr Masturbator or even FOOFOONETTE PLASTIK, handling brilliantly a detonating provocative mixture where childish references and porn-chic universes coexist. He places his work between the candid joys of childhood and the horror of prefabricated consumerism: a bi-vintage art. His work has been exhibited several times in Montpellier, his adopted city, but also in Paris, Brussels, Munich, Berlin, Denmark, and Italy as a winner of the Naples Biennale.
