Marie Scalliet

Marie Scalliet lives and works in Vendée. She is starting to paint in a long convalescence, and has never stopped for over twenty years, in parallel with a business career.
Today, she devotes herself fully and solely to painting, preventing herself to bring out the energy present in the sensitive by the language of colors and abstract forms. Marie Scalliet's painting is sometimes bubbling and impulsive, sometimes gentle, in reaction to the world around her and the energy that emerges. Influenced by the artistic current of abstract expressionism, which reflects the freedom of colors and forms, it translates the diversity of the sensitive solicitations in our daily environment, by a renewal in the forms of its compositions. Paintings on canvas and acrylic support, sometimes with oil pastels, inks, markers, are always different. The works are made quickly, and without retouching. It even happens that they are fully covered the next day!
The vibrant colors and the graphics evoke movement, turbulence or stop, and impose themselves on the look. In front of the work, the spectator is immersed in a poetic universe and lets himself be carried without apprehension towards his own sensitivity. It comes out with renewed vitality.
