Christine Lacour

Nature, the great outdoors, often maritime, are the elements of the pictorial library of Christine Lacour. Sometimes meditative, his painting lets the spectator interpret, hear what he sees. Some very stripped canvas can be given silence, the fullness felt in the face of immensity.
Today, it renounces figuration to transpose only the sensations left by the landscapes crossed. However, it does not deny its more figurative period. The persistent memory of what constitutes us, nature is transcribed, reduced to the essentials. The prospecting of the landscape is done by crossing it, by penetrating it, by reinventing it. A simple pebble can help start a story in the workshop.
Christine Lacour lived for a long time by the sea, it influenced her work. She wonders about the fragility of nature and hopes to contribute by her work to awaken consciences particularly with regard to seas and oceans.
