He begins his artistic practice with watercolor, then confronts acrylic which becomes his favorite medium. The artistic practice of Jean-Pierre Bru is constantly evolving. His gaze, colorful and structured on the world around us, allows us to escape in its singular urban landscapes.
He also draws his inspiration from the works of Jacques Monory and Gérard Fromanger, but also in the world of comics through Hugo Pratt, Moebius and more recently of Enki Bilal. His activity as an art editor for ten years allowed him to collaborate with artists like: Mengelatte, Cénac, Castell, Schmidt or Blend.
