Landscapes, trees, Still Lives, Naked, Portraits ... Nature is the favorite subject of the painter Hélène Courtois-Redouted. Its oils on canvas inspire poetry and softness, through particularly worked and precise light effects.
Nature at the heart of its creations
Originally from Metz, Hélène Courtois-Roudété was born in 1963. In 1987, she graduated from the Nancy National School of Fine Arts, then worked in Ile-de-France within communication agencies as Graphic designer and illustrator before putting herself.
The artist begins oil on canvas in 2010 and has been devoting to it since. Classic painter, his pictorial approach is moving away more and more from a certain academism to turn to more expressionism or even impressionism.
Nature is its favorite subject: trees, undergrowth, branches that intertwine, seaside ... Silent natures and some portraits and naked are also part of its repertoire.
Fascinated by light since always, the work of its effects is also at the heart of its achievements.
Oil painting, a subtle medium
Difficult and subtle technique, oil painting is for Hélène Courtois-Roupedé a quality medium.
The artist considers that painting in itself must be beautiful and "noble", both in matter and in touch. She also believes that there is something sensual in oil painting, that she does not find in other techniques and mediums.
Indeed, according to Hélène Courtois-Redété, painting is not just an image but also a beautiful object.
