Karoline Kroiß’s Training and Style
Karoline graduated from the Berlin University of the Arts in 2005. She now creates small, elegant paintings on paper and larger- just as delicate- life-size acrylic works on canvas. Her figurative style carries an almost audible stillness, with graceful figures shown from behind or looking away from the viewer. Each piece whispers mystery or otherness, inviting onlookers to enter the picture and discover what holds the figure's attention. Many of her works are autobiographical or feature her daughter, Karli.

Karoline's work is represented by several galleries like Raab Galerie Berlin, Kunsthaus Artes, De Kunstsalon Utrecht, and Kunsthaus Klüber Weinheim. They are also held in collections in Germany, France, Austria, Sweden, Switzerland, Netherland, the UK, and the United States. In 2004, the artist was awarded the Walter Hellenthal Prize for Painting.
