The artist's work can be found in private collections around the world. She is currently working on a commission for Brittany Ferries' new flagship, the Honfleur. Most of the photographs featured on Rise Art are part of her "Eventide" series. The images are of places where there are tides (ocean, salt lakes) as they meet that time of day known as dusk, twilight or eventide. Created with a slow shutter and deliberate camera movement, the images combine the different elements—earth, water, air and fire. They are also inspired by Poppe's long standing obsession with Mark Rothko’s paintings and the meditative, sublime experience associated with his work.Show less
"These meditative visions of seascapes capture what we all crave, not the infinite, but time. Shot through long exposures, these soothing images offer us the promise of calm through colour, light and water."
