A surrealist work isn’t about the piece itself, or even the artist who created it. In truth, it’s all about you. - Welcome to my surreal world.

Erik Brede is a Norwegian photographer and photoshop artist interested in surrealism, composite art, nature and landscape photography. With a conceptual approach, Brede tries to approach a wide scale of subjects in a multi-layered way to produce a link between the landscape’s reality and that imagined by its conceiver. These works focus on concrete questions that determine our existence.

His favourite quote is 'You don't take a photograph, you make it.' - Ansel Adams

Erik Brede was born in 1971 in Svolvaer, Lofoten Islands, Norway, but he currently lives and works outside of Oslo.
