"I often think of myself as an unreliable narrator who, akin to the cinematographer or novelist, is omnipresent within the world I have created. Photography, like the novel, is all about time and point of view - who saw what and when. I love the limits that the camera creates alongside shooting on film with all its secrecy. All my work is shot on film and I am drawn to analogue photography due to its privacy, holding on to what I may or may not have caught within a room that given day. "
Isabelle Young graduated from the Royal College of Art, London with an MA in Photography (2022) and was recently awarded a Pollock-Krasner Foundation Artist Grant (2024).
