Eunice Pais is a Portuguese interdisciplinary artist who complexly explores the themes of duality and the dynamics of visibility and invisibility through her work in photography, video, sculpture, and fabric manipulation.
Working across multiple genres, she regularly revisits the body as a liminal space for discussion embodied in different materialities such as fabric and metal. She is also the founder of PAIS, a photography production studio/agency focused on waste reduction and social equity in the field of photography.
Her Journey
In 2022, Eunice Pais presented her work at the Open Eye Gallery in Liverpool (United Kingdom), at the Photo Fringe Festival in Brighton (United Kingdom), and at the State of Fashion's Biennale in Arnhem (Netherlands). In 2023, her works were exhibited in Leicester (United Kingdom), Paris (France), Rome (Italy), and Maastricht (Netherlands).
Eunice Pais also received the Alumni Exchange Innovation Fund from the U.S. Embassy in Portugal to pursue a project on different abled bodies and neurodiversity.
